We are proud to support the Hoffman family: mom Susan, dad Wayne, big sister Lily, and twins Maggie and Patrick. Susan has been a member of Will County Parents of Multiples for several years, has served the multiples community as a board member, and has always been a source of friendship and kindness to everyone who knows her.
Susan Hoffman was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in October 2017. After extensive treatment at Loyola Hospital in late 2017 and early 2018, she underwent a bone marrow transplant in March 2018 (her brother was a perfect match!). As part of the recovery process, Susan was unable to live at home with her three children – big sister Lily and twins Maggie and Patrick – for a total of 100 days. She spent this time living at an area hotel during the 100-day stage of her recovery, requiring a caregiver 24/7.
Thankfully the transplant and recovery/isolation period went well. Unfortunately, her husband had been out of work for a year, and the Hoffman family is in need of financial support. He did recently get a new job, but with Susan unable to work, financial assistance is needed to help them with the medical bills that are still coming in, as Susan is still required to go to follow-up visits. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Please join Will County Parents of Multiples as we raise funds for this wonderful family!
